What to Expect for Your Flooring Installation with Us
How to Prepare for Your New Floors to be Installed
Choosing to install new flooring is an exciting step towards enhancing the beauty and functionality of your home. At Country Flooring Direct, we specialize in providing top-notch flooring installation services to ensure your new floors are installed professionally and efficiently.
Here’s what you can expect during your flooring installation process with us, along with some important details about our service policy.
Before Flooring Installation
Before the installation begins, we conduct an initial consultation to understand your needs and preferences. During this visit, we take precise measurements of the area to ensure that we have the exact dimensions needed for your flooring project. This step is crucial for accurate installation and minimizing material waste.
Preparing the Flooring Installation Area
Proper preparation of the installation area is essential for a smooth and successful flooring installation. This includes removing all furniture, rugs, and personal items from the installation area to ensure the space is free of any obstacles that might hinder the installation process. Moving furniture is NOT included unless specified in the contract. Moving furniture does not include moving valuables, guns, jewelry, furniture or electronics that need to be disassembled and reassembled. We do not move books, clothing, shoes, trash, etc.
All gas appliances, water heaters, etc. should be disconnected prior to installation as well. Disconnecting and reconnecting appliances is not included in the contract.
We also cannot fix any door jams or baseboards that are cut too high. Please let us know before installation begins if you believe this will be an issue so we can address them prior to installation.

During Flooring Installation
Our skilled installers will then proceed with the flooring installation. The process will vary depending on the type of flooring you have chosen, whether it’s hardwood, laminate, vinyl, or another material. Our team follows industry best practices and manufacturer guidelines to ensure your floors are installed correctly and efficiently.
Subfloor Inspection & Preparation
A critical part of the installation process is inspecting and preparing the subfloor. Our team ensures that the subfloor is clean, level, and free of any debris or imperfections that could affect the new flooring. Unlevel or rotting subfloors will need to be taken care of before we start the installation process, if you feel this may become an issue, let us know so we can resolve the issue before starting.
During installation, any plumbing issues that may arise will need to be dealt with before we can continue our installation. Our initial quote does not reflect pricing if plumbing issues do come up. Please try to let us know as soon as possible if plumbing may be an issue so we can work through it together.

After Flooring Installation
After the installation is complete, we conduct a thorough cleanup of the work area. This includes removing any installation debris and ensuring your new floors are spotless and ready for use. We take pride in leaving your space clean and beautiful, showcasing your newly installed floors.
Disclaimers
If you would like to discuss painting, please be sure to bring that up during your consultation.
